Florida Epilepsy Services (FES), founded in 1973 by a family impacted by epilepsy, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders. FES primarily serves Hillsborough, Hardee, Polk, and Highlands counties, providing access to care through case management, diagnostic support services, community education, and wellness programming. From its inception, the organization has worked to reduce barriers to neurological care and connect individuals with the resources needed to safely manage epilepsy and related conditions.

In 2020, Florida Epilepsy Services merged with the Epilepsy Foundation, expanding its reach across the state of Florida through coordinated education, research, and advocacy initiatives. Through statewide programs such as Seizure First Aid certification trainings, awareness events, and provider engagement initiatives, FES continues to strengthen epilepsy awareness and improve access to information and care. By combining more than 50 years of community-based service with national partnerships, Florida Epilepsy Services remains a trusted resource helping individuals living with epilepsy not only manage their condition, but thrive.
