purple day commentaries

March 26, 2016

Seizure Support Foundation was founded on the 9th of February, 2013 and launched in January, 2016, in Enugu State, Nigeria. we are a non – governmental, non profit making, community based collective group; comprising professionals, parents and care givers of children challenged by seizure disorders. Our vision is to see children challenged by seizure disorders and epilepsy constantly overcome the limitations associated with the disorder and, go ahead to live normal, balanced and productive lives. Our frame work to achieving this is through public enlightenment via our media (television and radio) presentations, community outreaches, supportive care (support groups), education and advocacy.

Incidentally, this years Purple Day fell on a weekend. consequently our proposed awareness drives to local middle and high schools were truncated. Alternatively, we at SSF, in commemorating with world Purple Day, are making arrangements to saturate local air waves (TV and radio) with commentaries, jingles and information on epilepsy and seizure disorders, come march 26.

We are proud and honored to be part of purple day.
