Aiming to raise awareness and promote health, the LANN (academic league Neurology and Neurosurgery of Piaui – Brazil) will promote three days of actions in favor of Purple Day and of improving the lives of patients with epilepsy. On the 26th, we’ll be conducting a training course about the Epilepsy theme, focused on the profissinais of health, in order to teach to medical students, Fisoterapia students, and etc., how to better cope with this disease, possibiliting them to learn their characteristics, symptoms, treatment and how to decide between differential diagnoses, important learning which in the future will serve to improve the care of people with epilepisia. This training will take place in FACID-DEVRY college, at 8:00 pm, and will being taught by the phisician Marcilia Fellipe. On Friday, we will hold an awareness with the population, handing out flyers and discussing epilepsy, in a busy place of our city called Poticabana (we are habitants of Teresina- PI / Brazil). Finally, on Saturday morning, we will organize two lectures with theme Epilepsy (Geared for adult and for child), which will be taught by the doctors, Juliana Barbosa and Raimundo Feitosa. We made shirts and we disclose the Purple Day on social networks, encouraging people to wear purple. We are very happy and honored to participate in such a beautiful event. We hope it all works out.
