Just last week, hundreds of people living with epilepsy and their supporters came together to raise awareness and celebrate the strength of the community at this year’s Purple Day Around the World Education Week.
Throughout the conference, we heard moving stories from our resilient community, met with Dr. Steven Schachter for a seminar focused on “Using Art to Increase Epilepsy Awareness”. In his presentation, Dr. Schachter spotlighted the power of education when treating the condition, and shared videos to help those who may be newer on their journey to seizure freedom.
At Eisai, we’re constantly staying up to date on the latest research to apply to our human health care (hhc) philosophy, which guides us in all that we do. When managing epilepsy, we know that every person is different, and it’s vital to embrace and understand a patient’s lifestyle to help them manage their epilepsy.
Being part of Purple Day® Every Day each year allows us to provide support, care and resources to help the millions of people affected by epilepsy. Websites like AdvancingEpilepsyCare.com are filled with patient testimonials, interactive comics and other resources for the entire epilepsy support team. We’re proud to do our part to help more people better manage their epilepsy.
