I am very excited that Corpus Christi School in Hasbrouck Heights will be participating in Purple Day again this year! On Tuesday, March 26, the students will be allowed to “dress down” in purple instead of wearing their usual school uniforms. To participate the children will donate $1. We would again like to donate the money raised to the Anita Kaufmann Foundation.
The school nurse and I are planning to give the students purple ribbon stickers and handouts that help them understand what epilepsy is and why we’re raising awareness. We are going to have purple cupcakes for the teachers and staff. And this year, we hoping to have a poster contest where the students will design posters to promote epilepsy awareness.
