Purple Day® Around The World 2021 Virtual Epilepsy Education Conference

The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York (EFNENY)is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving people affected by epilepsy in 22 counties in northeastern New York, including the Capital Region, Upper Hudson Valley, and North Country. The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York is an independent affiliate of the national Epilepsy Foundation, whose mission is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.

The year 2021 marks the 40th anniversary of the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York providing programs and services free of charge to individuals and families affected by epilepsy in the communities we serve. Services include information and referral, Medicaid waiver services for TBI, counseling, support groups (including art therapy), phone-based support programs (PACES and UPLIFT), camp and college scholarship opportunities, advocacy for individuals living with epilepsy and their families, and community education including seizure recognition and first aid in-service training and student education programs.

Counties served by the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York include Albany, Clinton, Columbia, Dutchess, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Montgomery, Rensselaer, St. Lawrence, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Sullivan, Ulster, Warren, and Washington Counties.
