I manage a health and social care agency in Sheffield and I come across people in many organisations and can raise as much awareness as possible of Epilepsy. I myself have a condition called trigeminal neuralgia which I have battled with for over a year. I had to take a lot of anti epileptic drugs and the side effects caused me a lot of problems. My condition is managed now with a new drug but I want to raise as much awareness as possible about epilepsy as a condition but also about the drugs needed to control the condition. My company has a large Facebook following as well as our website and can promote events. We are holding an event on the 24th March to raise money for Epilepsy Awareness Day which will be done through a tea and cake day. All cakes and treats will be donated by our team here as well as our Nurses and Support Workers.
